Unique vintage Japanese sterling silver salt and pepper shaker set shaped like the traditional Japanese instrument known as the shamisen, a 3-string whose model resembles that of a guitar or banjo.

The back of the drum body has a sliding plate that allows access to the inside for easy refilling or dispensing.

Neck is marked Sterling Japan.

Set weighs 34.5 grams.

Each shamisen shaker measures about 4 ¼” long by 1 1/8” widest by ½” deep.
