Mesanges Crystal Bowl, RARE!
Etched Small Birds on Rim
Created by Rene Lalique in 1931, the Mesanges bowl features
faceted sides with a rim of satin-finished mesanges birds.
A mesanges is a small bird such as a chickadee or titmouse;
a small tree dwelling passernine (perching) bird.
The vase is about 3.75″ tall, and about 9-3/4″” wide.
The vase is very solid, weighing 6 lbs., 5 oz.
Signed Lalique France on the base.
This bowl is currently selling elsewhere online for $1800.
This estate pre-owned vase is in excellent overall condition.
There is a small curved line about 1/4″ long, inside
the glass, see photos. Looks like from glass curing.
You have to look very closely to see this.
Please view photos closely. As is.
