The original 1921 Peace Dollar is distinguished by its high relief, wherein the coin’s edge is much thicker compared to the rest of the coin. This gave the overall design a more pronounced 3D appearance.
This version of the Peace Dollar has the lowest mintage of any year, and a subsequent revision in 1922 lowered the coin’s relief, giving off a flatter and duller appearance.
As such, the 1921 Peace Dollar is considered highly valuable and sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
Also included is a display binder by PCS Stamps & Coins. See photos for details.
